About Senior Gadget Guide
Clear, practical technology advice for older New Zealanders and the families helping them.
Senior Gadget Guide was created to help older New Zealanders choose technology with more confidence and less confusion.

Why I started this site
I’m Nick, and I started this site after seeing how technology fits into my own family’s life.
My nana and grandma have embraced technology in different ways. They use it to stay connected, manage daily life, and enjoy more independence.
But I have also seen how easy it can be for older people to be oversold features they do not need, or left trying to understand advice that is too technical.
My pop is less interested in technology, but still uses it in practical ways. He uses a large-screen phone, reads the news on an iPad, and has a medical alarm for safety and reassurance.
That is what Senior Gadget Guide is about.
Not chasing the newest gadget. Not making technology more complicated than it needs to be. Just clear, honest guidance on products that can make everyday life easier.

How we make money
Some articles on Senior Gadget Guide may include affiliate links. This means we may earn a commission if you click a link and buy something, at no extra cost to you.
Affiliate links help support the site, but they do not change the goal: to provide clear, practical, and helpful advice.
We aim to recommend products based on usefulness, ease of use, value, and suitability for seniors in New Zealand.
About our images
Some images on Senior Gadget Guide are created with the help of AI image tools. We use them to keep the site visually consistent and to show everyday technology situations in a clear, calm and respectful way.
These images are illustrative rather than photographs of real customers, families or product users. We do not use AI images to show real events, real reviews or proof that a specific person uses a product.
